As part of our annual Multifaith week the children learn about other faith, and visits to their places of worship really help them to understand the key practices and understanding. This year the KS1 group visited Amaravati Buddhist Centre in Hemel Hempstead. The children were able to reflect on the things that attracted them, what they found similar to their own faith and what was different. The KS2 group visited St Albans Cathedral, and learnt about St Albans and the history of Christianity in the local area after the Roman settlement. They also heard about Baptism, Jesus, the Last supper, praying in the chapel and had a very delightful but informative day! The education programme there is excellent and highly recommended.
